Honeywell recently announced that its Electronic Materials unit received the Best Quality Award from Samsung Electronics’ Semiconductor unit. Samsung noted that Honeywell was chosen for the award because of a close customer/supplier relationship and cooperative technology development in 2004.

“We’re honored by this award from Samsung Electronics,” says Barry Russell, vice president and general manager of Honeywell Electronic Materials. “Honeywell’s commitment to Six Sigma quality processes is demonstrated by this recognition.”

Honeywell is one of the top five suppliers of materials to the semiconductor industry, providing a wide range of products, including sputtering targets for metallization processes as well as various chemicals used as insulators, anti-reflective coatings and highly selective etchants.
