(FARO: Lake Mary, FL) -- FARO, the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement and imaging solutions for public safety, and STORMBEE, a pioneer in Mobile UAV technology, have partnered to offer an integrated, cost-effective airborne 3D scanning solution specifically designed to quickly gather large-area data for crash scene documentation, security preplanning, and military applications. This integrated solution includes the best-in-class FARO Focus laser scanner, the STORMBEE S series UAV, and BEEFLEX software suite.

Document large areas in record time

The FARO–STORMBEE airborne solution enables wide-area scanning missions, such as highways, train infrastructure, and buildings. While these would take days when scanned from the ground, they can now be completed in just hours without interrupting traffic or setting foot in a zone of interest. Additionally, this airborne solution further enhances productivity by allowing users to capture complex environments that traditionally would be inaccessible to ground-based scanning. Levels of accuracy and detail from the air are exceptional. The data can then download to FARO Zone for crash reconstruction, security preplanning, and military reconnaissance.
