(DMSC: Arlington, TX) -- The Dimensional Metrology Standards Consortium Inc. (DMSC) announces that the next training workshop for DMIS 5.2, the Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard, is scheduled for April 18–21, 2011. The DMIS 5.2 / I++DME Training Workshop will include DMIS 5.2 as well as the I++DME specification. The workshop will be held at Nikon’s Brighton, Michigan, facility (formerly Metris-USA) located at 12701 Grand River Road, in Brighton. Reservations need to be made as soon as possible to ensure a seat in the classroom.

This DMIS 5.2 / I++DME Training Workshop uses an innovative approach to teaching and demonstrating how DMIS works with I++DME and other commercial software to achieve an integrated framework. The workshop will focus on the programming and implementation of DMIS 5.2 with an introduction to the I++DME specification. DMIS 5.2 supports multi-axis capabilities, such as Renishaw's Revo. DMIS 5.2 is also now an ISO standard.
