Event: Health Care Quality Week Slated for Oct. 18–24

(NAHQ: Glenview, IL) -- Healthcare Quality Week (HQW) features the work of health care quality professionals and highlights their influence on improved patient care outcomes and health care delivery systems.

NAHQ members are encouraged to alert administrators, allied health professionals, and the public about the effect of health care quality through special events during the week of October 18–24.

A webcast, "Leaning Toward Performance Improvement" will be presented on Oct. 21 during Healthcare Quality Week from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT. Thomas Smith, RN MA CPHQ IQCI and past president of NAHQ will present how this session will highlight the lean process and its effect on the health care industry, specifically projects in HIMS, OR and ED. Participants will be awarded 1.5 CE hours upon completion of the webcast.
